Fusing instructions
Step 1 Cut to size as follows:
Legs: 2 x 5/8" long x 5/16" wide
Arms: 2 x 1/2" long x 1/4" wide
Head: 2 x 1/2" square
Body: 1 x 5/8" wide x 1/2" long
Step 2 Assemble pieces on kiln shelf as per photo, two pieces of glass are stacked on top of each other for the head.
Step 3 Once the arms, legs and head are correctly spaced, cover the joins as per photo.
Step 4 Place kiln shelf in kiln and bring temperature up to fusing level, about 1460° F - 1480°F (793° -804° C).
Step 5 Monitor fusing process, do not overheat as the item can shrink and the arms and legs will almost disappear.
Step 6 When satisfied with shape turn kiln off and allow to cool to room temperature.
Step 7 Decorate with bright colors of your choice.
This pendant has been painted with colors from porcelain pens and then baked in the kiln as per the paint instructions.
Many of these paints can be baked in an oven as they do not need the fusing temperatures of true glass enamel.
Once the paint has been baked glue a small bail to the rear of the pendant.
