Free glass fusing projects and tutorials using glass kiln forming techniques and ideas to make a variety of glass fused patterns and designs.
In this section, there are project instructions for flat fused, and molded fused glass art items.
For a fused item to take on a shape it is usually fired again using a glass fusing mold.
The glass is placed on a mold in a fusing kiln and fired to a temperature lower than its first firing.
A combination of temperature and gravity will cause the glass to "slump" into or over the mold.
After a controlled cooling, the item can then be removed from the kiln.
Where firing schedules are given these are for guidance only as some variations may occur between glass size, color and fusing kilns.
Generally, though these schedules can be altered to suit different fusing requirements.
Always maintain a record of your fusing firings for future reference.
